Story

Cohana's popular Small Scissors with Lacquered Handles are now available in 紺藍, in a limited quantity. These elegant Indigo Navy scissors are beautifully complemented by a pure white genuine leather sheath.
The tassel features a subtle touch of gold set against the indigo, accompanied by a shimmering charm that evokes the gentle ripples of water.
The smooth texture unique to lacquer feels comfortable in the hand, and the more you use the scissors, the more attached to them you become.
Caring for them with the included cleaning cloth restores the lacquer’s luster, allowing you to cherish them for years to come.

The fine, delicate blades make these scissors ideal for precise work in sewing, crafting, and other detailed creative projects.

Blade Tip Adjustment (Slightly Flattened Tips)
A closer look of the tip when blades are closed.

The tips of the blades are carefully adjusted to ensure proper alignment.
Please note that the blade tips have a slightly flattened finish as a result of this adjustment.
<About the color of Lacquered Handles>
Photos ① and ② both show small scissors finished with the same lacquer.
Because lacquer is a natural material, slight variations in color may occur depending on the season and conditions under which it is applied.
Lacquer also naturally changes in color over time.
As you use the scissors and they are exposed to everyday conditions, the lacquer may gradually develop more luster and subtly change in tone.
These changes are a natural characteristic of lacquer and are not a sign of any quality issue.
Please note that this indigo blue uses the same lacquer formula as the small scissors included in our Summer Lucky Bag 2024.
However, because the conditions at the time of application are different, the color will not be the same as that of the 2024 edition — though it will be a similar shade.
If you own the 2024 edition, you can also use it as a helpful reference for how the color may gradually change over time.

Handling Precautions
-
The blade tips are sharp. Handle with care.
-
Do not cut hard materials, as this may damage the blades, affect blade alignment, and reduce cutting performance.
-
Dropping or subjecting the scissors to strong impact may cause damage.
-
If the scissors become wet, wipe them thoroughly to help prevent rust.
-
Avoid storing the scissors in direct sunlight or in hot, humid environments to help prevent rust on the blades and discoloration of the lacquer.
-
The lacquer and gold maki-e are very delicate. Do not use abrasive cloths or polishing compounds when cleaning, as they may damage the finish.
-
After use, wipe the scissors with the included cleaning cloth and store them in the leather case.
-
The genuine leather case may stretch or shrink slightly. Contact with water or perspiration may cause discoloration or staining.
-
In rare cases, lacquer may cause skin irritation. If any irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.
-
Keep out of reach of infants and young children.
