Story

We have prepared our popular Nambu Iron Paperweight in three special colors.

Each paperweight features subtle gold accents. Displaying all three together allows you to appreciate the beautiful gradation of indigo. They can also be stacked with the standard Nambu Iron Paperweight or the 360g Brass Paperweight.

Its solid, reassuring weight holds fabric and paper patterns firmly in place. 

The button holes double as pen holders, combining practicality with a playful design.

白藍:

A pure, serene blue that signals a new beginning.

Almost white in tone, “白藍” evokes the crisp purity of a morning as the snow begins to melt. Its gentle hue seems to quietly encourage you when you want to approach your handwork with a fresh, open mind.

薄藍:

A fresh, clear blue reminiscent of clear skies and water.

Bright and clear, “薄藍” has a refreshing quality that uplifts the spirit. Evoking a sunny sky or a tranquil stream, its light and airy presence brings a calm, pleasant atmosphere to your time spent crafting, simply by keeping it close at hand.

紺藍:

A deep, profound blue, like a night sky scattered with stardust.

Rich and beautiful, “紺藍” evokes the stillness of a deep night and the unfathomable depths of the sea. Its quiet yet powerful hue draws you into moments of deep focus, inviting you to immerse yourself in handwork.

Haneda-cho in Mizusawa-ku, Oshu City, is considered, along with Morioka, to be one of the birthplaces of Nambu Ironware. Known as a town of cast iron, the area is home to many foundries and businesses related to the casting industry.

OISEI Foundry Co., Ltd. has been in operation here since 1916. Drawing on traditional casting techniques cultivated over many years while incorporating advanced technology, the company continues to produce highly precise cast products.

• Due to the characteristics of the paint that brings out the texture of the cast surface, the color may come off with friction or impact.
• This product is stackable. Rotating or rubbing paperweights while stacked may cause color fading or color transfer.
• Do not place and slide directly on the fabric. Doing so may cause fabric tears or color migration.
• Dropping or strong impact may cause damage.
• Storage in a humid environment can cause rust.
