KAWAGUCHI will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use without obtaining the consent of the customer, except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations. However, the following cases are exempt from this rule.
(1)In case of compliance with laws and regulations
(2)In cases when it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the customer.
(3)In cases particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound growth of children, and when it is difficult to obtain the consent of the customer.
(4)In cases where it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a person or organization entrusted by either of the foregoing in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and where obtaining the consent of the customer may interfere with the implementation of such affairs.
5.Appropriate Acquisition of Personal Information
KAWAGUCHI will acquire personal information in an appropriate manner and will not acquire such information through deception or other wrongful means.
6.Secure Management of Personal Information
KAWAGUCHI will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over its employees to ensure that personal information is safely managed to prevent risks such as loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information. In the event that KAWAGUCHI outsources all or part of the handling of personal information, KAWAGUCHI will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure that the outsourced company manages personal information securely.
7.Provision of Third Parties
KAWAGUCHI will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the customer, except in cases where disclosure is permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. However, the following cases do not fall under the provision of personal information to third parties as stipulated above.
(1)When KAWAGUCHI entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
(2) When personal information is provided in association with the succession of a business due to a merger or other reasons.
(3) In the case of joint use in accordance with the provisions of Section 8.
8.Disclosure of Personal Information
When a customer requests disclosure of his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, the Company will disclose the information to the customer without delay after confirming that the request is made by the customer himself/herself (if the personal information in question does not exist, the Company will notify the customer to that effect). However, this does not apply in cases where the Company is not obligated to disclose such information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.
9.Correction of Personal Information, etc.
When a customer requests the correction, addition, or deletion of his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information on the grounds that the personal information is not true, KAWAGUCHI shall, upon confirming that the request is made by the customer, conduct the necessary investigation without delay to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use. Based on the results, we will correct the content of the personal information and notify the customer to that effect (if we decide not to correct the information, we will notify the customer to that effect). (If we decide not to make the correction, it will notify the customer to that effect.) However, this does not apply in cases where KAWAGUCHI is not obligated to make the correction, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.
10.Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.
If a customer requests us to stop using or erase his/her personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, on the grounds that his/her personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use announced in advance, or that his/her personal information was acquired through deception or other wrongful means, or on the grounds that his/her personal information is being provided to a third party without his/her consent based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will do so. In cases where a customer requests KAWAGUCHI to cease using or erase personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law because the personal information was acquired by the customer through illegal means or other wrongful means, or to cease providing personal information to a third party based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law because the personal information is being provided to a third party without the consent of the customer, if the request is found to be reasonable, KAWAGUCHI will confirm that the request is made by the customer himself/herself. If it is found that there is a reason for the request, KAWAGUCHI will stop using or providing the personal information without delay after confirming that the request is made by the customer, and notify the customer to that effect. However, this shall not apply in cases where KAWAGUCHI is not obligated to suspend the use or provision of personal information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

KAWAGUCHI's services may use cookies and similar technologies. Users who wish to disable cookies can do so by changing the settings of their web browsers. However, if you disable cookies, you may not be able to use some of the functions of our services.
