Japanese Tradition in A New Way!
Beautiful Grain Magewappa Tool Box with Embroidery Hoops

Story

A very practical wooden toolbox inspired by the idea of combining a traditional Japanese container, Magewappa, with an embroidery hoop.

It is the perfect size for storing small tools, accessories, or sewing notions. Magewappa means "bentwood container," and these exquisite products made by MOCKATS are lovingly handcrafted with Chizu cedar in the traditional Akita style. The detachable embroidery hoop is made by Futaba Sangyo in Nara, whose products are beloved by professional embroidery artists and hobbyists alike. The hinoki cypress used for the frame gives off a distinctive, soothing fragrance. It has a smooth and gentle feel in the hand. When in use, it holds fabric firmly and will not damage the fabric.

Please note that this item is offered as a toolbox only, and the sewing tools and accessories shown in the photos are not included. Enjoy filling it with your favorite tools and accessories.

Under the tutelage of an instructor who studied in Akita, the birthplace of Magewappa, he continues to make Magewappa while maintaining the high quality of his craftsmanship.

Handling Precautions

  • This product cannot be used as tableware.
  • The embroidery frame is equipped separately on the lid and the body. They can be removed for use.
  • Due to the characteristics of the wood's humidity-regulating effect, which shrinks and expands with humidity changes, the embroidery frames may feel loose or tight when attaching or detaching them to the toolbox.
  • Tightening the embroidery frame screws too hard may cause damage.
  • We cannot replace or repair the embroidery thread on the lid, even if it is broken. Please understand.
  • Please note that replacement or repair of the embroidery thread on the lid is not available if it is broken.
  • Storing in direct sunlight or in high temperature and humidity may cause discoloration, deformation, or mold.
  • Dropping or strong impact may cause damage.
  • Keep out of reach of infants and young children.
