Story
Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, blessed with rich soil, is one of Japan’s leading Kawara (traditional Japanese roof tile) production areas. This flower-shaped needle rest is crafted using Awaji’s natural clay and features a built-in magnet.
Among the different types of Awaji Kawara, this item is made from glazed ceramic tiles. The glaze adds a smooth texture and subtle luster to the rustic character of the clay. Two colors are available: White and Dark Gray.
Having a designated place for your needle helps make needlework smoother and reduces the risk of misplacing it. The magnet keeps needles securely in place. This convenient item helps eliminate small frustrations in needlework, allowing you to enjoy your creative time even more.
Measuring 27mm in diameter, it is slightly smaller than the Awaji Kawara Magnetic Needle Rest with Needle Polisher from the same series. It can also be used to pick up stray needles, hold paper clips, or display notes and photos.
