1. Small Scissors with Lacquered Handles Tamenuri

These Small Scissors, finished with traditional lacquer and gold makie, are loved for their charming, palm-sized form and their precise, reliable sharpness—carefully adjusted by skilled blade craftsmen in Seki.

The Small Scissors in the Saku Set are our classic Tamenuri, paired with a limited-edition gold leather case and tassel. A delicate plum-shaped charm adds a subtle seasonal accent.

2. Chirimen & Canvas Accessory Pouch Ume

This small accessory pouch combines vibrant chirimen with sturdy canvas fabric.

The pouch is highly versatile and can be used in two ways. When fastened with the inner snap buttons, it becomes a compact pouch that is easy to carry. When unbuttoned, it stands on its own as an open accessory pouch—perfect for keeping your tools close at hand while you work.

For the Saku Set, we chose a vivid ume (plum blossom) pattern in chirimen fabric.
Plum blossoms, which bloom early despite the cold, have long been regarded as auspicious flowers that herald the arrival of spring. This design carries the wish that, like blossoms opening one after another, joy and happiness will continue to bloom throughout the year.

3. Sabae Magnifying Glass & Mirror Red

Sabae City in Fukui Prefecture is one of the world’s leading centers for eyewear manufacturing. Drawing on the refined techniques cultivated in this region, this magnifier is carefully crafted using the same materials found in eyeglass frames.

The high-quality lens is designed to be easy on the eyes, even when focusing on a single fine point, making it comfortable to use and easy to bring into focus. Ideal for checking the condition of a needle’s eye, counting stitches, or examining detailed patterns, it gently supports moments that require close attention and helps make long hours of handcrafting more comfortable.

One of two designs will be included.
This item also features a mirror, making it useful for everyday situations beyond your crafting time.

4. Kumiko Needle Minder–Eight-Pointed Star

This needle minder showcases the beauty of Kumiko, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique.
Even when your needle is at rest, this tool offers a subtle presence—one you notice quietly, without it ever calling attention to itself.

In Japan, the number eight has long been regarded as an auspicious symbol, representing growth and an ever-expanding future. The eight-pointed star—also known as eight-pointed star—embodies this meaning and has been used across cultures as a motif symbolizing hope, development, and positive progression. This design carries a forward-looking wish for openness and possibility in the days ahead.

5. Sewing Pin Set Housed in a Small Box Ume
6. Sewing Needle Set Ume
7. Iida Mizuhiki Needle Threader Ume Musubi
8. Thread Card White &Vermilion

We have curated a collection of reliable tools that prioritize both ease of use and quality, all featuring designs inspired by plum blossoms in full bloom.

This vibrant set includes a 20-piece Sewing Pin Set Housed in a Small Box, a Sewing Needle Set, and a Mizuhiki Needle Threader tied in a plum knot design.

Each piece adds a touch of elegance to your workspace and brings a sense of delight every time you use it.

9. Marukago Chidori Jelly

A moment to pause and relax between your crafting sessions—

We have included a soft, gently sweet Japanese confection to enjoy along the way.

The chidori motif, symbolizing safety and good fortune for the household, and the ichimatsu pattern, long regarded as auspicious for its unbroken continuity, are both reflected in these treats.

Savor these handcrafted jellies one by one, and enjoy a quiet, comforting moment of rest—together with your tools.
