We hope you enjoy discovering your own special piece—made just for you.
Shozaburo Long-Blade Thread Snips

A legendary name in Japanese scissors craftsmanship, Shozaburo is celebrated for its exceptional sharpness and durability— a true embodiment of what a tool should be, designed to be used and trusted for years to come.
This piece features the Ibushi Long Blade, 105 mm, distinguished by its slender, elongated tip.
The narrow blade allows easy access to hard-to-reach areas—near the presser foot of a sewing machine or within densely stitched embroidery—where earlier snips may fall short.
It performs beautifully not only for cutting threads, but also for unpicking stitches, serving as a reliable alternative to a seam ripper.

This comparison highlights the difference in blade length.
The new Shozaburo long-blade snips feature a slimmer profile with noticeably longer blades.

Thanks to its longer blade, the distance between the hand and the cutting point is comfortably maintained, keeping your line of sight clear as you work.
It offers precise, pinpoint control with a smart, effortless feel and lasting comfort in the hand.
Small Furoshiki Tailored from Kimono Fabric

The thread snips are wrapped in fabric cut from unused kimono bolts produced between the 1970s and the early 2000s—textiles that were never tailored into garments.
We carefully select bolts with distinctive colors and designs, transforming each into a small furoshiki. Each fabric reflects the sensibility of its era, offering the quiet pleasure of a one-of-a-kind encounter.
The wrapping cord is made from durable Sanada-himo, a traditional woven cord long used for tea utensils and obi-jime.
Finished with a leather tag stitched with the Cohana logo, it is a small but thoughtful detail that reflects careful craftsmanship.

Measuring approximately 36–38 cm square, this small furoshiki is slightly smaller than a standard handkerchief.
When stored, it serves as a compact tool wrap; during use, it can be opened out as a work mat or a place to rest small tools.
Designed to adapt quietly to the rhythm of your making.
About Our Small Furoshiki
Our Small Furoshiki are made using the full original width of the fabric.
To honor this traditional approach, the side edges—known as the selvedge—are intentionally left unfinished, without additional stitching.
Due to the nature of the weave, you may notice small thread loops along the edges. Please rest assured that this is a natural characteristic of the fabric and does not affect its durability.

Each piece is thoughtfully upcycled from old kimono bolts—some of which could be considered vintage—that have been waiting for years to be crafted or tailored. As a result, subtle variations in texture or gentle signs of aging may be present.
Rather than flaws, we see these details as part of each piece’s unique character, telling a story that can only be found in time-honored textiles.
We hope you enjoy the depth, warmth, and individuality that make every Small Furoshiki truly one of a kind.
