TEKOTE, a care brand created by hair artist Tetsuya Yamakata, has partnered with Cohana to create a special set designed to support the flow of handcraft.

One of its most distinctive features is its ease of use—the cream leaves no greasy feel even right after application, allowing you to return to needlework and other handwork without pause.
This comfort comes from montmorillonite, a natural clay sourced in Yamagata Prefecture, which forms a light veil of moisture on the skin, helping to gently protect it from dryness and external stress.

With this naturally derived clay, your hands feel comfortably cared for, so you can focus on your work without worrying about anything being left on your tools. Developed by specialists who work closely with natural materials, this is a special hand care item designed to support those who create.

The pouch included in the set features “Irodori Koushi,” a design inspired by TEKOTE’s signature lattice pattern.

The pouch is extremely versatile. It can be used in different forms. The snap buttons inside make it convenient for carrying around. When unbuttoned, it can be used as a stand-alone accessory case. The outer flap part can be extended to store taller items such as knitting needles and pens.

To preserve the material's inherent beauty, we use fabric that has not been excessively bleached. 
Small brown or black specks may be visible in the fabric; these are natural cotton flecks, a unique characteristic of unbleached materials.

The high-quality lens is designed to be easy on the eyes, even when focusing on a single fine point, making it comfortable to use and easy to bring into focus. Ideal for checking the condition of a needle’s eye, counting stitches, or examining detailed patterns, it gently supports moments that require close attention and helps make long hours of handcrafting more comfortable.

Their timeless beauty, now with a touch of added elegance, makes them a wonderful gift for someone special.

The subtle variations in color, characteristic of natural lacquer, deepen over time, gradually developing into a rich luster. Its smooth texture becomes more familiar in the hand with use, making it a piece to be cherished for years to come.

Hasami Magnet Pin Holder White with a Rose Sewing Pin / 2,200 JPY

A new core color, “White,” has joined our popular Hasami Magnet Pin Holder. Offered at the same price as the standard pin holder alone, it now comes as a gift-ready set, accompanied by a delicate glass rose sewing pin.

The sewing pin features a small glass head, approximately 5 mm in diameter, with a rose motif created using “millefiori,” a technique that combines colored glass to form floral patterns. Each piece is crafted through burner work, in which the glass is melted in a flame and fused onto the pin—showcasing the skill of experienced artisans.

Please note that dark marks may appear where the pin meets the glass due to the high-temperature fusion process. The appearance may vary from piece to piece and does not indicate a defect.

  Pins are held in place by magnetic force, allowing for effortless insertion and removal. Even thicker pins or those with rounded tips—difficult to use with traditional pincushions—can simply be placed on the holder.
