Apple-Shaped Case

This palm sized apple-shaped case looks just like a real apple. Its charming form makes you want to lift the lid right away.
BUNACO, a skilled craft studio based in Aomori, transforms beech trees grown in the rich forests of Aomori into beautiful wooden pieces with its unique technique. By shaving the beech wood into thin strips and winding them into layered coils, they create a round apple that shows the natural character of the wood.

Designed with a magnetic base to hold the 'Corisu the Little Helper' steadily in place.
Corisu the Little Helper/Acorn Pin

What is Corisu?
Corisu is a carved wooden squirrel that serves as a needle holder. The name combines "Co" (meaning "small" in Japanese) and "Risu" (meaning "squirrel"). We took the "Co" from our brand name Cohana to create "Corisu." The "Co" also carries the meaning of "together," reflecting our hope that you'll enjoy your sewing time with Corisu by your side.
The little squirrel holds an acorn pin in its hands. A magnet is embedded in its underside, allowing it to pick up pins that fall onto your desk. This diligent little helper quietly watches over you during your sewing time.

And what is this little squirrel holding so carefully in both hands? A tiny acorn pin with a glass head. It’s as if it’s offering you its little treasure, saying, “This is for you.”
Seki Mini Scissors Apple/Mini Spools/Hand Sewing Needle

The Seki Mini Scissors come with a green mixed tassel and a leaf charm. The red leather case is inspired by the color of a ripe apple. Simply holding the scissors between your fingers lets you cut thread easily, making them perfect for tasks where you need to cut thread frequently without any stress.
We have also included small black and white thread spools and sewing needles to make this set convenient for sewing on buttons and other small tasks.
Apple-Shaped Case|BUNACO Co., Ltd./Hirosaki City, Aomori
Aomori Prefecture is home to abundant beech forests, including those in the Shirakami Sanchi UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Beech wood contains a high level of moisture, so it was long considered unsuitable for wooden products, and large-scale logging continued in the postwar period. In 1956, BUNACO developed its own original manufacturing method to create new value from this beech. While pursuing sustainable manufacturing, the company delivers “traditional crafts of Aomori” that can be used in everyday life, such as lamps, interior items, and tableware.
