Iida Mizuhiki Needle Threader Ume Blossom
The handle of the Needle threader is made of Iida mizuhiki, a traditional handcraft handed down from generations in Nagano Prefecture. The mizuhiki is tied in a knot called the “Ume knot”. Ume know is an auspicious knot that has the meaning of opening the door to good fortune, since Ume blossoms overcome the winter and bloom ahead of the spring.
