In Japan, the BARAIRO, the color of rosy pink, is often attached to words such as “life” or “future” to express the happiness and the state of contentment or hopefulness.
It is said that wild kinds of roses originally existed in Japan. New kinds were imported from China during the Heian period (794-1185) and were cultivated for ornamental purposes and enjoyed by the aristocrats.
Roses appears in the old leading poetry collections and literature of the time.
