Mebosoneedles have been loved by seamstresses in Kanazawa for over 440 years

Story

High-quality Meboso needles have a sturdy weight and pierce cloth effortlessly. With a precise, sharp point achieved through rigorous vertical polishing, these needles make for a delightful sewing experience.

Meboso needles have been manufactured in Kanazawa for over 430 years. Seamstresses of the city's booming textile industry took particular care of their needles, and created hand-sewn bags or pendant-style containers to keep them safe and sharp. This tradition among seamstresses in Kanazawa was the inspiration for us to produce a special container for the Meboso Needles. Each set of 8 comes with a unique paper container crafted by Aichi Shikan Seizosho and adorned with a beautiful silk tassel from the manufacturer Kanagawa.

Meboso Needle Set (Light to Medium Weight) contains 8 needles in 4 different lengths for light- to medium-weight cloth (cotton, silk, crepe, and other delicate fabrics)

Meboso Needle Set (Heavyweight) is also available. It contains 8 needles in 3 different lengths for heavyweight cloth (canvas, denim and other thick fabrics)
